The Complete Cookie Jar Book, 3rd Edition
Author Mike Schneider's book should be the first purchase in a Cookie Jar Book library.
Although there may not be as many pictures of jars as other books might have,
this book has the best resources.

| The Wonderful World of Cookie Jars : A Pictorial
Reference and Price Guide
Ellen and Mark Supnick produced the largest book on cookie jars, with over 423 pages of pictures. This book has
the most cookie jar pictures, but the pictures are small and it can be hard to see some of the details.

The Cookie Jar Game
Comes in a large tin cannister, that is actually half of a circle.

|
An Illustrated Value Guide to Cookie Jars, Book I
Ermagene Westfall published the first cookie jar price guide in 1983, a small pocketsize book
with little description, but good pictures.
Although I don't use this as often as the other books, it nicely rounds out my collection of resources.

|
The Cookie Jar
A recipe book with some jars scattered amongst the pictures. Another cute book to have, but
just as an extra. There are only a handful of jars shown with the cookies, and most are fairly common. |
| |
Collector's Encyclopedia of Cookie Jars Book III
Published in 1998, the third edition addresses the reproduction issue. A valuable list of known reproductions (at the time of publication)
will help the collector become more aware of what to look for. |
|
Collector's Encyclopedia of Cookie Jars, Book 1
The Roerig's first published this book in 1991, but numerous updates keep it current.
This book, along with the other two Roerig books, are excellent resources. If you can afford it -- get
all three of them. |
|
|
Collector's Encyclopedia of Cookie Jars Book II
This edition was first published in 1994 and is almost 400 pages of cookie jar fun. |
|
Cookie Time: With Vintage Cookie Jars from the Andy Warhol Collection Pictures of vintage jars from
the Warhol Collection, along with cookie recipes. It's a fun little book to have, but if you are just looking
for pictures as resources, all of the jars pictured are shown in numerous other books. |
|
McCoy Cookie Jars from the First to the Latest
The Harold Nichols spiral bound book of McCoy jars was published in 1991.It is no longer in print, but
can sometimes be found in used condition. If you can find it, Buy It! Although prices have risen quite a bit since
publication, the complete index of all the McCoy jars is invaluable.

|
The Cookie Jar Cookbook
This book has the most "jars" of all the recipe books. Each jar that is pictured, is shown with appropriate
cookies and recipe.
|
|
An Illustrated Value Guide to Cookie Jars, Book II
An interesting book that's slightly different than the other books used
as resources for collectors. This book is heavy on pictures, with the values are bit off, but the
pictures are very good. Many unusual jars are shown. |
