| Making a Real Cookie Jar Clock | |

| From Doug's Workshop |
This is a really unique project and what a great gift it would make for your cookie jar collector friends, after you make one for yourself of course. Nancy Allen had the vision and Doug (hubby) made it work. Supplies Needed: |

| Carefully drill a small hole in the center of the clock's face on the jar. Start with the smallest
drill bit. After the hole is drilled use the next larger drill bit and enlarge the hole, continue until
the clock works can fit through the hole.
If you have a broken jar or plate it might help to practice with making a hole in that before starting on the clock. If not, be sure to use an inexpensive jar that won't matter (as much) if it breaks. The jar shown is several years old, but similar clock jars have been available recently. Check the local gift shops for a Dept. 56 clock shaped jar or the Jonal "retro" look clock could also work. Images (c) Nancy Allen 2003 | |
