    Crumbs from my jar....

Welcome to our 5 new subscribers, you can check out the past newsletters on the archive page on The Cookie Jar Net.

Ta-Da! This issue is the start of the eighth year of The Cookie Jar Digest. Thanks to all those that have been with me for these many years -- there are quite a few that have been here since the beginning.

Cookie Jar news is still a little slow, or maybe it's me that's slow! This issue has links to several jars that are on sale around the Internet -- unfortunately (for me) several are jars I bought at full price. I am looking forward to the markets and finding out what's new and coming up.

Have you seen my 2004 Cookie Jar Calendar? You can print it off or use it on your computer desk top. BUT if you want a glossy, cardstock copy of the calendar -- email me with the company names of the jars shown. Make it specific -- e.g. Snowman is from _________. If you get it right I'll send you a copy in the mail as soon as they get back from the printer.

I'll be sponsoring a Winter Cookie jar contest open to all collectors, if you have a web site and would like to sponsor one of the prizes, please email me with specifics!

It seems as Disney has been the focus of a lot of the newsletters lately, which had Nancy & I talking about what jars we would really like Disney to produce. My first thought was The Tramp (from Lady & The Tramp)eating spaghetti. What would your picks be? Email me!

    Until next time,
    ~barbara

Thanks to Doug Allen for this latest heads-up. The Mickelson Auction web site has Charlie Snyder's Cookie Jar Collection listed for auction on January 31st. More details when (if) I get them! Mickelson Web Site

    Survey Results
It was fun reading all the comments from the Twin Winton Survey -- I picked out a few to share with you!

Meanwhile the next survey is up, this time it's for Shawnee cookie jars. We did a random drawing of all the participants in the surveys during 2003 and came up with a winner for the Cookie Time Book. Winner of the first book is: Siri Bailey. (Please email me!)

    Kit-Cat Clock Jar!

A new version is available, similar to the one put out apparently in the 80's. Actually make that two version, a Patriotic version and a Christmasy looking one. A bit pricey -- but I know I'm interested! Scroll down towards the bottom of the page.

    Amazon
Did you know that you can buy cookie jars through Amazon? And many times the shipping is free! Check out a few that I recently found while buzzing around the Amazon site. Betty Boop Collector? Have you seen the new book from Leonard Ellis? He did a great job on it, with terrific pictures and excellent background/resources.
