Crumbs from my jar....
Welcome to our 8 new subscribers. All past newsletters are available on the archive page, see link on the left.
I've had several interesting guesses on the cookie jar guess -- listed below, but I will tell you that NO ONE has
guessed the company. When it's announced, you're all gonna say.. "I was thinking of that one". So send me your NEW guesses.
This newsletter depends on feedback from you to help continue, so if you enjoy getting it -- please help out by visiting
the forums and help answer the questions posted. And by also giving me feedback when it's requested. Check the Feedback Needed
section further down. And THANKS in advance!
until next time,

Cookie Jar Reunion
What are you doing in October? Why not come to Oklahoma City to the Cookie Jar Club Reunion? If you're driving, OKC is very easy to get to.
We're at the intersection of two major highways, extremely easy to get around once you're here and we have
some of the friendliest people in the country. Lots of fun stuff to do,
plenty of antique/collectible shopping in the area
and, of course, cookie jars!
If you're interested in being a dealer, please email me for more information -- booth rates, sizes and more.

McDonald's Jar
Thanks to Susan Titus for the newest cookie jar alert. A retro-looking McDonald's Restaurant jar.
If you're a salt & pepper, mug, or a bank collector -- make sure to check out those cool pieces on the site too.
Keep scrolling!
The crock jar shown on the left is NOT on the web site, but can still be ordered via the web site.
The Character Cookie Jar is ceramic, measures 6" high by 5" diameter and features Ronald McDonald & friends.
The retail price is $15.00, item # is 36341.

Feedback NEEDED!
Thanks to those of you who responded to my questions about your first jar. These will be put online
soon, but I'd love to hear more stories from you.
The question was:
What was your first cookie jar -- the one that made you decide or made you realize you were going to be a collector?
And do you still have that jar?
Also still waiting for someone to measure a jar for me.
If you have a Brush Humpty Dumpty with Beanie, can you do me a favor and measure it? It can be approximate, e.g. I'm not worried
about a 1/8" - 1/4" difference.
What's Your Guess?
I've seen pictures of a new jar coming out the end of April/beginning of May.
It's a really fun and licensed jar from a well-known company. AND the company has never done one before.
Unfortunately I have been sworn to keep it a secret and if I tell -- all my jars will
spontaneously break and develop hairlines. So guess I'll keep it secret for a little while longer.
But just for fun -- email me the name of a company you think might be doing the jar and if you're the first
right answer I'll send you a small prize! (But of course I won't announce the winner until I can announce the jar!)
So what's your guess? -- eMail me!
Huntley & Palmers
After receiving notice that he was going to be fired, a disgruntled employee decided to finish up his work with a vengence against Huntley & Palmers. Several unusual events are taking place in the otherwise placid English garden setting picture he was painting for a biscuit tin.

Shows Coming Up
Kasting Auction Center hosts the Janet Barding and Dennis Smith cookie jar auction this coming weekend.
I was chatting with Bill Kasting about the auction and putting in an absentee bid. Since this newsletter is going out the day absentee
bids are due in (according to the web site)--he is giving us another 24 hours to submit bids.
All absentee bids are due by 5 PM FRIDAY!
There are some terrific jars in the auction. Kasting said "this is clean an auction, as I've ever seen".
Almost all the items are in perfect condition and are getting a lot of attention from collectors.
