Crumbs from my jar....
Welcome to our new subscribers. All past newsletters are available on the archive page, see link on the left.
A few interesting prices on eBay this past month, the wonderful Josephine Baker jar produced by Roger Lewis
sold for $1025, and an American Bisque Little Audrey sold for $3950.
It's hard to believe, but I didn't have ONE correct guess on the mystery jar -- and it really is a cool one.
Check the link out below to see what the jar is, and order it soon -- there already have been a bunch sold since yesterday!
Long time subscribers have heard bits and pieces about my real life and real family over the years. Tomorrow, I am proud to announce, that
my 6'2" baby is graduating with a degree in Journalism/Advertising from Oklahoma University.
If you have a few minutes and want to help fill his email box, please send him a note of congratulations!
His email is jrcrews@mac.com -- thanks for those that have the time.
Thanks to Nancy for the heads up on a Winnie the Pooh jar at the Disney Stores. This jar was NOT in the catalogs and NOT in the Disney Store online yet.
(At least not that I know of). Pooh and his friends are surrounding a large ice cream sundae! And the jar was 25% off -- cute!
I saw a Peter Pan video with a sticker that said inside was info on the Peter Pan cookie jar. The video was at Target.
I did find a Peter Pan jar on eBay last month that I believe is the jar in question. It was strange jar that reminded me of
an insulated tumbler. There was even a water scene, complete with liquid. But the only way you would see the movement if by turning
the jar sideways or tilting it a bit. I admit, I don't understand the concept.
until next time,

Antique Week Cookie Jar Article -- Free Copy
The May 3rd issue had an article about cookie jar collecting. I haven't seen it yet, but have a copy of the
weekly magazine on the way to me. And good news -- the editor, Connie Swaim, said she will send copies of the
May 3rd issue to anyone that requests a copy as long as her supply holds out. But the catch is the supply
may not hold out long. So for a FREE copy of Antique Week, email the editor at: connie@antiqueweek.com
Be sure to request the May 3rd issue!
Reproduction Alerts
I started a new section on the forums, specifically for reproduction alerts, questions and links. I recently bought
a jar that I was slightly suspicious of from reading the auction description, but since I never heard of it being reproduced,
I took a chance. Yep -- it was obviously not the real thing. Have you been taken by a jar lately that you didn't realize
was being copied? Post a note in the forums.

Country Store Catalog
Great offer -- free shipping until May 11. The offer didn't say anything about a dollar amount needed, so it looks like anything you
order will work. There eleven jars on the web site and one favorite, the logo Coffee Mug is on sale for $10. (originally $30), so using the
free shipping code, plus get a knife set, all for $10.? Sounds like a good deal to me.
Country Store Catalog
FREE Gift! Use Suite Number 6809 when you check out to get FREE SHIPPING, plus get this super-sharp 7-Piece Knife Set.
Cookie Jar Puzzle Source
Thanks for Marilyn R. for the link on the cookie jar puzzles. Long time collectors will recognize the
pictures, they are taken from the cookie jar calendars of a few years ago. These were on eBay a few weeks ago, but the ones I saw
had pretty high shipping costs. Buy both puzzles and the shipping is $6.99. I'll be sending Marilyn a Humpty Dumpty Cookie Jar pin for her contribution.
Bits and Pieces
The Mystery Jar
No one guessed right on the jar, and I KNOW most of you that guessed are going to say... DUH! So the prizes are going
back into the closet for another contest later on down the line. Meanwhile you can see the new jar on the link below.
And I've heard that they already received quite a few orders, even though the jar just went up for sale yesterday. I think it's
adorable and so have others that I've talked to. And if you order soon (in the first 250) you'll get a dozen Mrs. Fields
Cookies free, not a bad deal for a $30. jar. NO Mrs. Fields is not the company!

Hall China
Did you know that Hall China still produces wonderful teapots, pitchers and the classic owl cookie jar?

Feedback STILL NEEDED!
Thanks to those of you who responded to my questions about your first jar. These will be put online
soon, but I'd love to hear more stories from you.
The question was:
What was your first cookie jar -- the one that made you decide or made you realize you were going to be a collector?
And do you still have that jar?
Also still waiting for someone to measure a jar for me.
If you have a Brush Humpty Dumpty with Beanie, can you do me a favor and measure it? It can be approximate, e.g. I'm not worried
about a 1/8" - 1/4" difference.
Huntley & Palmers Disgruntled Employee Tin
This R Rated tin brought a final price that really surprised a lot of people. Over $640. for a 1980 cookie tin!
