The Cookie Jar Digest

Vol VIII #14
Greetings!
You'll notice that this issue is a bit different format, but time has been slipping away and I wanted to get the latest news to you asap. Next issue will go back to the regular format, along with pictures on the web issue.
COOKIE JAR CLUB
Our show/reunion/party is on for this coming weekend -- October 23/24 in Oklahoma City. And things are really coming together nicely. There will be lots of jars for sale, LOTS of jars will be given out as doorprizes, goodie bags and the biggest treasure of all -- the Wintons will be attending.
If you live in the North Texas, Oklahoma. Kansas area -- this is a chance to meet fellow collectors without traveling too far!
The sale and informational part of the show is open to everyone, but you must be a club member to attend the get-together party (my house!), the Saturday night dinner and Sunday morning breakfast at the restaurant won in a poker hand about sixty years ago -- Cattlemen's!
For more information go to the ACJA's web site, or you can email me -- but I am not sure how available I will be this week. Lots to do!

DISNEY
Dozens of Disney jars, or at least that's what it feels like when checking out the site.
Nemo, new Tinkerbell, a Radko Mickey Mouse, Lizzie, new Alladin are just a few of the 28 jars shown. Yes, you read that right -- 28 jars are on the Disney site. Another tip is to check out their canister sets -- four jars for the price of one! Two cute Winnie the Poohs, as well as a Villains set are on sale.
I've not been paying attention to the Disney jars on eBay. Have they been putting out the new ones? Would appreciate a heads-up on this.

MRS. FIELDS
Two new jars are in the Mrs. Fields catalog. An Oscar the Grouch and an advertising jar that's probably the best one they've done so far.
FITZ & FLOYD
Is having a terrific sale right now on their Witch Hazel pieces. Would you believe a cookie jar for $11.??? It's a jar I've always liked but never bought, until now. Not sure how long the sale will be on, so get over to their web site today and order yours.

WALMART
Merla D. reports lots of jars at her local Walmart, I broke down and went into the nearby Walmart and didn't see a thing. There are several licensed jars, as well as an assortment of non-licensed pieces.
DANBURY MINT
The catalog shows the Pillsbury Doughboy Canister Collection that I believe has been available before. It's a cute set, that when put together makes a scene. Price is $119.

HARRY AND DAVID
This has been mentioned before, but as a heads up sometimes the jars are listed without cookies included. AND that makes them much cheaper, plus their cookies are not very popular here. Three jars are shown.

I've not forgotten about the Cookie Jar Pin giveaway, the winner will be announced next issue. They'll be debuting at the Cookie Jar Show and will be online shortly after.
