Crumbs from my jar....
Welcome to our 11 new subscribers this month. Please note that all newsletters, except for the first year are archived on The Cookie Jar Net web site.
Many of you are probably reading this on April 1st. No worries, no joke this year. I've done a few jokes that
"got" so many people, I decided to retire as a winner. But thought you might enjoy seeing a few of the better ones

Carolann send me this note:
"Hey I am watching one of my son's DVD's called Clerks. Not sure what kind of
a movie it is yet. But the first scene has a guy drinking out of the lid of
a Shawnee Smiley cookie jar." Now this is a movie that must be worth watching!
Be sure to scroll down and see all the auctions coming up! Three in the next week.

Boyds Bears
Ouch... There are four bear cookie jars, but apparently the only way to get them is to visit the Boyds Bear
Country store in Gettysburg. Anyone up for a field trip? I'll be posting more information and pictures of these jars in
the next few weeks, it's been a bear getting information from the Boyds Company, but I finally got through to someone
who claims they can help!
IF you live in the area and would LOVE to help out a few fellow collectors by picking up a few jars and selling them at cost,
please email me. There have been several times that we've helped each other out when jars are area-specific and you never
know when you might be the one needing the help.

Kentucky Fried Chicken Bucket - JAR
This jar showed up a few years ago and after seeing it at a friend's house, I really wanted one.
But I never saw another one on eBay.
I recently found the jar on the Louisville Stoneware web site and chatted with them about it.
Apparently the jar has been available for a few years for franchise owners to order. Louisville Stoneware
received the rights to produce the jar for the general public a few months ago and it now can be ordered direct
from their web site. As with all Louisville Stoneware, it's a heavy, very well-made jar. And if you're an
advertising collector (yeah, I hate to repeat myself), this is a must-have!
Kentucky Fried Chicken Bucket
Hamburger Helper Cookie Jar
A few of these have shown up on eBay in the last few months. I want one!
If you can help me out with a jar, information
on how to get it, or when it was available, it would be greatly appreciated.
Disney LE Release Dates
Mary Poppins, Mrs. Potts and 101 Dalmations will soon be coming to Disney Auctions. Take a peek at the pictures
and find out just when you need to start looking for them.

Top Ten in Pottery/Glass Category
Although I don't think I've ever seen a cookie jar in this monthly list, the buyer search terms can be
very enlightening. No wonder so many sellers list McCoy in their auctions -- its one of the top search terms.

What's In Your Collection?
I am no longer surprised at collectors and what they actually collect. I could have a thousand categories on my site and still be missing something.
But I thought it would be fun to find out just what most people collect -- and hope it fits into the broad categories created in the most recent poll. Take the poll and if I didn't put your category down, let me know!
I know everyone here collects jars, but please also indicate what else you collect. The poll is a little screwy and you will
have to take the poll once for each different item.

On the same subject, Nancy A. reported that there is a new Starbuck jar in her local store.

Schwan's Jar Shows Up
It's a nice lookig jar, a little smaller than I pictured, but still a good size. I like the way the
side mirrors were done, looked very realistic.
