Crumbs from my jar....
Crumbs from my jar,
Two more subscribers this week. If you are enjoying this newsletter, why not share it with another collector?
The more subscribers, the better! As always, all past newsletters can be found in the archive section on The Cookie Jar Net.
I've also received two more Top Ten lists from long-time subscribers-- but there are a few folks who I am still waiting to hear from, as I said
last week, you know how you are. If you've been a subscriber for a long time, take a few minutes and fill out the poll.
I finally was able to get a Mary Poppins jar for the starting price of $55. and I've noticed the jar is up again. I believe
this will take the numbers to 225 out of 350. I hope the Disney folks realize one of the reasons it is doing so well is because
the jar is DIFFERENT than many of their previous jars. I'm still hoping for a Lady & the Tramp jar, maybe a Herbie?
and a few other fun characters that haven't been depicted yet.
Last week I forgot to include the link to the Dodge, Ne auction, it's included this week!
Until next time,
~barb

DODGE NEBRASKA AUCTION
400 jars will be auctioned off on Sunday, June 12th in Dodge, Nebraska.
The collection is owned by Bill and Pat Wisnieski and contains lots of
nice jars, quite a few that I wouldn't minding having myself. I do not
know if they will offer absentee bidding, I will as not able to reach
anyone before sending this out.
I talked with one of the folks at the Wisnieski Auction Service today. The
jars are just starting to get unpacked, so if you are interested in
finding out more about a particular jar, wait just a few days to give them
a call. The best time to call is early evening, from 5 PM on. There is NO
buyers premium and they will take absentee bids.

DR. WHO COOKIE JARS
These have been pretty popular on the Internet auctions, but how about getting them from the source?
I LOVE the new one coming out next month, K-9 -- very cool jar. In fact there is one collector friend
that I think this would be a perfect jar. I'll have to see if he orders one.

REPRODUCTIONS
I am looking for folks who belong to clubs and pottery associations. (Besides the ACJA) I have an idea
to present to eBay, but would need the help from several different associations -- email me if this is something
you are interested in.

MY #6 ADVERTISING ICON
It's getting harder to decide the order, they're all so great. He first
popped up in 1965, just a baby compared to some of the icons.

TELEFLORA JARS
Teleflora is showing two candy/cookie jars for the holidays. A pumpkin jar (stickers make it a Jack O’Lantern) for Halloween and continuing their theme of ornament styled jars, a Snowman for Christmas. He has an ornament style top on the lid.

IF YOU KNOW
If Red Wing produced a shaker set to match their chef or anything about a Wine bottle jar from Saks (years ago),
check out the forums and help out another collector.
