 The $6750. Cookie Jar
Yes, you read that right -- that was the price of a Shawnee Smiley at the Kent Mickelson Auction House
last weekend. Read more about the auction and prices realized, and see the pictures of two of the high end jars sold.

Win a Mac II Dog or a Pig Cookie Jar Pin
It's been a long time since the latest contest, so this week I've started a new one for a Mac II dog signed by Nelson & Billie McCoy -- available only at collector events several years ago. Or win one of five second prizes, a pewter Pig Cookie Jar Pin, Limited Edition. Submit an entry once a day and you can be in the running.

The Contest

 Hallmark Cookie Jar Ornament
The first in a series of Cookie Jar ornaments is now available from Hallmark. The ornament reminds me a bit of the dog and cat ones from a few years ago. I'm not particularly crazy about it, but I know if I don't get it.... I will be sorry later on. (you know how that goes!) Thisis shown in the collection of series ornaments.

Speaking of Hallmark, the red-sweatered Sugar Bear from last season is on sale for $9.97 on their website.
They also have two of the Maxine jars available for purchase. Type in cookie jar in the search box.

Hallmark

You'll Never Guess Who Collects Cookie Jars
Find out as Jason writes about his long walk to the car, helping the buyer of the Winton Auction Jar.
