This is an exciting time of the year for jar collectors.. even if you prefer vintage jars. Check out some of the terrific cookie jars out this year.
Also, time to start looking for cookie jar ornaments. Hallmark has one, but have you seen anything else around?
This week the Ross' get a Humpty Dumpty pin for their tips on a Harry & David jar (picture will be up next issue) and their heads up on the Hobby Lobby jar.

Thanks to Nancy Allen for supplying some prices from the Mickelson Auction held this past weekend.
Although I am NOT crazy about the colors of the jar, or at least the way it looks on the website, this is a must have jar. Peering out of a wrapped gift is Dumbo, Dopey and Pinocchio. And because of the different color of the package -- I imagine this jar could be used for several different holidays.
It's time to start decorating .. and then take a few pictures. This year there are four categories.. one is table top and one is miscellaneous. The glass ornament collectors go crazy with Halloween, but I know jar collectors are just as creative.
There will be several prizes and at least one will be a Holiday jar.

Thanks to those that entered the Guessing Contest predicting my new grandkid.... but we need more guesses! Yes, you can win a baby jar complete with pacifer from Clay Art. This jar was available several years ago. And my daughter claims once I show this jar, no one will enter now. Can you tell she's not a jar collector?
This is always an exciting time of the year for cookie jar collectors. Even if you just like the older jars, there is always a new one or two that are pretty neat. So far the buys of the season have to be the spectacular looking jars sold by Hobby Lobby..... Anyone else think they look like Fitz & Floyd ??
