It's a little slow right now for new jars, but don't worry -- in less than a month manufacturers will be showcasing their new products at Gift Shows across the country. I've heard several companies were planning to slow down with introducing new jars, so it will be interesting to see if that really happens.

Home Shopping Network (www.hsn.com) has more jars than usual on their website and most are reduced. Jars are from Vandor, Royal Albert, Fitz & Floyd.

Check out QVC for more unusual jars. Two different Bob Mackie Christmas Jars, a Santa from Bellek, a Santa on a train from Roman, Put cookie jars in search. (www.qvc.com) Mackie Santa is shown on the right.

 M & M Holiday House Jar
Finally found the house at Dillards Department Stores, where we found the M & M Christmas Tree mentioned a few issues ago. Price is $30. at the store.

They also had a Snoopy on the Dog House jar that looks to be a little different than the previous ones out. Dog house was "bullet-riddled".

 Oreo Pound Cake
It's time to bring this recipe out again. I originally got it on the Prodigy cookie jar bulletin board. If you love Oreos, this pound cake is wonderful and very easy to make. Wrapped in saran wrap with curly ribbons, it makes a very festive goody to give away.
