 Crumbs from my jar....
It's been a slow few weeks in the cookie jar world and a good time to work on the Cookie Jar Index. I still need pictures of Brush, American Bisque Cookie jars. Actually, I will take any good pictures you care to share -- I will just add them to library to add later on.

There apparently was a problem with the Newsletter Archives -- It's been fixed. Anytime you see broken links, please let me know.

The winner of the Trivia Question -- What Cookie Jar Artist was born in Brooklyn.. Anita Harris was the first to answer with Cavanagh. I had several wrong answers, and I am still trying to find out about one answer that might be right (not Cavanagh -- another artist). Answers to ALL trivia questions asked in the newsletter will be somewhere on either my personal website or the Collectibles.about.com website.

This week in the Jars Wanted Listings: Shawnee S & Ps, Appleman jars, and TC Pickup Truck. You can view the Wanted Forum through my personal website, The Cookie Jar Net.

This week's Antique Trader (January 15) has a nice article on a cookie jar collector -- Deb Johnson of Wisconsin. Also received a copy of The Columbia Basin Farmer with a terrific and long article on Ken & Barb Jensen.

Hobby Lobby has a Valentine Cookie jar -- it's a small crock with hearts and heart finial. Really cute and on sale this week for $10. Thanks Merla for the heads up on this one.

Be sure to check out Kent Mickelson's Auction page, lots of great looking jars -- Auction is linked at the bottom of this newsletter. But the Ringmaster is one of the stars of the show!

 M & M Jars
When I was in Las Vegas a few weeks ago I was surprised to see a two jars that I was told were not available any longer. Several folks emailed me about the bigger jar after they were told it was no longer at the store. Well, it was there in December, so give the store a call if interested. The M & M Catalog has the flag jar M11BC $30 and Caught in the Act jar with four characters coming out of a Peanut Bag. $43. It's item #M8E. (800 848 3606)

Over 100 Years of Happy Children
2002 was the anniversary for Barnum's Animal Crackers, and there are two cookie jars out celebrating these childhood delights.

Find out more about the history of Barnum's and why the string is on the box.

 Coca Cola Santa
This was a hard jar to find over the holiday season and I'm not sure if they are still available or not. The jar is well made and has matching salt & peppers, snack plates and mugs.

More information about this jar will be in the Cookie Jar index in the next few days.

 Index of Jars
If you've been around for a while, you might remember the Rate This Jar Polls. Well, when the poll tool changed, I discontinued them. But I've the jar pictures are still there and the START of the index I've talked about previously.
