    Crumbs from my jar....
Welcome to our 14 New Subscribers this issue!

I don't know if you've been on the About site lately, but we've gone through another change (yes again!). This change is one that's really good, it's a BLOG on the front page. Now I can just put up a few lines when I find out about new items, auctions, etc, but don't necessarily have the time or inclination to do a full article.

Bits and pieces are added every day or two, so keep checking back. It's also where postings will be put about anything special that comes up in the jar world, especially when it's between newsletter issues.

Right now the plan is to try and do only two issues of The Cookie Jar Digest a month. Any other breaking news will be listed on both web sites, The Cookie Jar.Net and on Collectibles.About.Com.

Don't know what a Blog is? Check it Out!

This issue is pretty heavy on Disney, but I was excited to see a new Eeyore in the catalog the other day. And I wanted to share the prices of the two prototypes that sold in the past few weeks.

Several folks are looking for information on cookie jars. Jerri is asking about a pig jar that is not ringing a bell with me right now. It was given to her by a friend shortly before he passed away, she would really like to know more about the jar. Take a look at the Cookie Jar Wanted Board.

    Radko's Freedom's Wings
The first time we saw this jar was about 18 months ago at the Dallas Market. It's an amazing sculpture and very different than anything I've seen before. I really would like to add this one to my collection, just need to wait for the right sale!

    Disney Prototype Jar Auctions
I was mistaken in the last issue, there were only two prototypes up for Auction. There is a third jar, another Cheshire prototype (not pearlized) that will be most likely be auctioned off later this summer. Dopey/Grumpy Final Price and the Pearlized Cheshire Cat Final Price.

    Disney Catalog
It seems like a while since Disney has had new jars in their catalog, but the one that came yesterday had two of them. One is a Classic Mickey that is done with a different twist and then a sweet looking Eeyore that is very cute and on my list to get, since I still can't afford the California Original jar.

    LE Hartstone
Now Why, you ask, would Hartstone do a Patriotic cupcake cookie jar? It's to help celebrate Ohio's birthday! Every piece of pottery I've seen from Hartstone is always heavy and nicely finished. The jar coordinates with one of their tabletop lines and can be ordered direct from the company. AND if you're in that the Zanesville Ohio area, they have a tent sale that will be ending on July 20th.

    Curt Sez WHEW!!
Finally all the ordered jars have been sent out! The shipping strike ended and the jars were finally able to be unloaded. As soon as they got the jars, the jars were repacked and sent on their way. If you ordered and are waiting on a Pixie jar, it should be arriving this next week. AND if you still want one or haven't ordered yet, Curt reports they have enough extra jars to fill more orders.

Do you belong? Or have you renewed? I must admit we've been a little quiet since the show last year, but we have some folks that have stepped up to help out. We have a new email newsletter editor for the club. The dealer page has been updated and we're working on more features that will be available for club members only. It's only ten bucks, so why not?

Dealers-- this is the only spot I know of that lists dealers names and websites!
