Crumbs from my jar....
I know this newsletter is a little late, but I have a very good reason!
I wanted to make sure the Disney Dopey Auctions were up before I sent it out.
The first 125 jars went for $48. in the Dutch Auction earlier this month. If you're not sure how a Dutch Auction works, there is a short
article explaining it all on the Collectibles Site.
>>> Dutch Auctions
Have you checked the home page of The Cookie Jar Net lately? A picture and link to a new 2004 Cookie jar
Calendar was put up a week or so ago.
>>>Cookie Jar Calendar
I didn't decorate very much last Halloween, but I'm already to start getting the jars and ornaments out.
And the Halloween Decorating contest will be up again this year on the About site. Lots of good prizes will be given out,
so think about taking pictures if you're doing any decorating.

Dopey/Grumpy Jar
If you missed the first eBay auction, here's the link for the current one!

Antiques Roadshow Comes to OKC
If you were in downtown Oklahoma City on August 9th and didn't know what was going on, you would have probably thought it was the world's biggest garage sale. And judging by all that was carried in and out of the Cox Business Center, it must have been a good one! It wasn't a garage sale, but it had the same festive atmosphere.
But what did I really think -- especially about the California Pottery Red Wing Monk?
>>>Antiques Roadshow
Cartoon Network Brak
I don't have any idea what the cartoon is about or like -- I'll have to ask Jim! The jar has shown up on eBay
and was tracked down by Doug & Nancy.

From Keith Lytle:
Last year in August at the Palmer Wirfs show at the Cow Palace the HGTV show Collectible Treasures
spent almost 6 hours over two days filming in our booth about cookie jars. I just got a card
from them saying the segment will air on 8/23/03 at 3:30pm. I don't know what time zone
they mean, so you will need to check the listings for the time of that show in your area.
Disney Halloween Jar
And it's not even a Pooh! It's called Disney Friends Halloween Jar and, like the Christmas Present Jar,
this one has several different characters. Cheshire Cat, Mickey, Tinkerbell and a Dalmation puppy in costume are next to, and inside the jar.
>>> Picture is on The Cookie Jar Net
Lofty Nicholas
Lofty Nicholas Hot Air Balloon jar is stunning! And since I have a collection of Hot Air Balloon
ornaments, this will be a perfect accent near the tree.
>>>Up, Up and Away
Paddy Wagon Prototype
A cookie jar prototype was made and unfortunately, the deal was never finished. Now there is a
fun looking resin prototype all ready for a manufacturer. Can anybody help out this New Zealand artist?

MIA Ornaments
Look at these new glass ornaments and tell me what they remind you of! I was very surprised when I was turning the catalog
pages and came across these. A more in-depth article will be online in the next month, but I just wanted to do
a heads-up for those that have a cookie jar tree. Hint -- Have a Clay Art 1997 catalog handy?

Quaker Oats Cookie Jars
It's obvious by some of the online listings that there is some confusion on the Quaker Oats jars. So I decided
to dust off the old article and take pictures of the new jars in my collection. I have twelve licensed Quaker Oats
jars -- am I missing any?

Brush Survey
This time we're doing it for Brush jars - what jar comes to mind or do you feel is the epitome of a
Brush cookie jar. McCoy results are on the survey page.
