    Crumbs from my jar....

Welcome to our ten new subscribers, if you know someone who collects jars, please tell them about this newsletter.

If you're a person with a real life, you won't be reading this until Tuesday (hopefully after a nice holiday weekend), since I don't have another life..... you can see how I am spending Labor Day Weekend. But don't feel sorry for me, I love relaxing weekends "playing" with my collectibles. I'll be finishing up the Halloween decorating and start taking some pictures for a new index of Halloween jars.

I really need a large clear picture of the Abingdon Witch jar. If you can help, please email me!

If you love Fitz & Floyd goodies, watch the home page on The Cookie Jar Net for a link to some spectacular sales prices.

From HC Accents, Division of The Boyds Collection
Every kid dreams of snow days...even big kids!! Exciting childhood memories of snowy mornings and school delays inspired the Willy Chillhill collection. Check out the upside down snowman cookie jar and mugs--each is oversized to accommodate a few extra helpings!

Antiques Roadshow - The Rest of the Story
Once again it was proven to me how small a world it really is! Since I was disappointed about not finding out the correct pattern name for the depression glass sugar and creamer at the Antiques Roadshow, I decided to investigate a little further. I finally had a picture to share, so I contacted someone that I "met" years ago on Prodigy and knew was fairly active in the glass world. Yes, you guessed it, she was the one who gave me the original (wrong) information!

    Clayworks Gingerbread & Snowman
Nancy found this terrific duo from Clayworks, a division of Blue Sky which is a division of the Vangroup. Got it?

    Keith Lytle on TV
Keith did a terrific job on the HGTV show, Collectible Treasures, last week, hope you caught it!
    Disney Halloween Jar
This is a strange jar. On the jars we got -- the eyes and mouth are cut out just like a real jack-o-lantern! We think someone goofed! I assume they are cut out on all the jars? If yours is different, please let me know.

    More on Halloween
Although I love my older jars, every year companies seem to come up with new fun things that are really tempting. A few of my special picks for new Halloween goodies this year would have to be the Mary Engelbreit Witch jar, Radko's Shiny Brite Witch, almost anything Fitz & Floyd -- but the Witch on a Pumpkin is pretty cool, I also like the Harry & David Black Cat jar, but hoping to get it via a Harry & David outlet. And for those that like haunted houses, Enesco has a cute, whoops make that scary, looking Halloween jar. And of course I can't forget those little M & M jars all dressed up in their Halloween costumes, they're showing up on eBay -- just not sure what store is carrying them yet!

Online stores carrying most of the above jars: Albert's Gifts; Clark's Cookies Jars; Cookie Jar Gifts; Dogwood Valley and Past and Presents.

    Twin Winton
What jar comes to mind when thinking about Twin Winton Jars? Meanwhile, find out the favorite American Bisque jars of cookie jar collectors.

    From Last Issue:

    Quaker Oats Cookie Jars
It's obvious by some of the online listings that there is some confusion on the Quaker Oats jars. So I decided to dust off the old article and take pictures of the new jars in my collection. I have twelve licensed Quaker Oats jars -- am I missing any?
    >>>Quaker Oats Jars
    Paddy Wagon Prototype
A cookie jar prototype was made and unfortunately, the deal was never finished. Now there is a fun looking resin prototype all ready for a manufacturer. Can anybody help out this New Zealand artist?
