    Crumbs from my jar....

Welcome to our five new subscribers, if you know someone who collects jars, please tell them about this newsletter.

In the next two weeks more information will be up about the Halloween Decorating contest. This will be the third year and we've had some spectacular entries. Think about entering! If I get enough entries there will be a separate Cookie Jar decorating category. Need inspiration? Check out these pictures >> 2002 Pictures

If you had the chance to talk to folks at eBay, really had their attention, what would you say? I might have the chance to bend an ear or two and would like to get others opinions or thoughts on Collectibles, Collectible categories, etc. on eBay. What problems do you have, etc. Please let me know in the next day or two.

Several times over the past year I've had folks looking for the Figi "Wanted Dead or Alive" Snowman jar. (The one at the top of the Cookie Jar Wanted BB.) If you're one of those that are still looking for the jar, they're now being sold at Hobby Lobby stores.

If you've been reading The Cookie Jar Digest for a while, you know how much I love Target Stores. Yesterday I was haunting the aisles and love their new Sakura table top accessories. They do have a jar as a go-with. It's a haunted house, but completely black except for the yellow windows and orange door. It's unusual, but perfect with the other pieces.

    Twin Winton
What jar comes to mind when thinking about Twin Winton Jars? Take the survey and let me know. Don and Norma are also interested in finding out the results of this survey!

    From Lipper International
Two new Pillsbury Doughboy lines are supposed to be showing up anytime now, but I haven't seen them yet. One is a Chrismas Doughboy -- I wish it was a little more decorated, e.g. instead of the weird shaped baker's hat, perhaps a Santa hat! But I guess since I don't make the jars, I don't get to pick! Dealers, Do you know if these two series are still a go?

    More Pixies from Curt
As long as I'm talking about Christmas stuff -- here's the jar I've been waiting to see. The new Pixie jar all decked out for Christmas. Curt Blanchard has ordering information on his web site, along with several other pixie pieces that are being produced by Grant-Howard.

    Hobby Lobby Frankenstein
Nancy sent along a picture of the Frankenstein jar found at Hobby Lobby this season. It's a big one!

    Midwest Cookie Jar Ornaments
Thanks to Sharon S for a link to the new Midwest cookie jar ornaments on Betty's Attic. A set of three vintage jars turned into ornaments! Issue price - $26.

    M & M Christmas Stocking Jar
The newest holiday jar from M & M reminds me of a Warner Bros jar from several years ago, the one with Tweety in the stocking. What do you think?

    From Last Issue:

    Debbie Mumm
Did you know that ordering the "month" jars direct from the Debbie Mumm site can save a few bucks? PLUS the jar will be signed by Debbie! Check the September school house jar for a sneak peak at the October Halloween jar.

    More on Halloween
Although I love my older jars, every year companies seem to come up with new fun things that are really tempting. A few of my special picks for new Halloween goodies this year would have to be the Mary Engelbreit Witch jar, Radko's Shiny Brite Witch, almost anything Fitz & Floyd -- but the Witch on a Pumpkin is pretty cool, I also like the Harry & David Black Cat jar, but hoping to get it via a Harry & David outlet.

And for those that like haunted houses, Enesco has a cute, whoops make that scary, looking Halloween jar. And of course I can't forget those little M & M jars all dressed up in their Halloween costumes, they're showing up on eBay -- I recently found them at Target. There were five different jars at $9.95 each, my favorite is probably the yellow witch with a light purple hat.
