Crumbs from my jar....

Yes, I am still around -- a needed break was taken! And this is the perfect time to get back into the swing of things with lots of fun stuff showing up and going on.

I need a picture of the Abingdon Witch jar for the web site -- also if you have one for sale, let me know, along with the price. I have a possible buyer.

Welcome to about a dozen new subscribers! You can read this complete newsletter, as well as past newsletter issues on the Newsletter Archive on The Cookie Jar Net.
Cookie Jar Net

If you know of any auctions or sales, new jars or jar bargains, be sure and let me know. It will be posted in the next newsletter.

Tell me about your collection? Would you like to be the next Incredible Collector on the Collectibles web site? Or would you like to share your expertise about cookie jars or even some other stuff you might collect? I'm always looking for guest authors and pictures of collections. This is your chance for fame and glory. Okay, I'm possibly overreaching a bit, but I guarantee it's fun!

Until next time,
~barb

COOKIE JAR CLUB SHOW/PARTY -- October 22/23
Is being held again this year at Buchanan's October Antique and Collectible Show in Oklahoma City. If you've not been to this area of the country, be advised that there are more antique malls, shops than you can count. But that's not all, we'll have some great jars, good prices, lots of giveaways and even more fun! So join us if you can. I know there are lots of Texas readers, Oklahoma City is just a few hours north of the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, well worth the trip north.

NEW YORK GIFT SHOW
- - - - - - - - - - -
I spent a few days in August at the gift show and found so much stuff it's been a little overwhelming getting it all on line. The the first few weeks have been spent updating Halloween content, soon I'll be adding more cookie jar content. I had a chance to see the Snow White jar from Lenox, small but beautiful. Lots of fun Vandor pieces, a few unusual pieces from Cereal Art and the great pieces from Paris & BeeBee. Keep an eye on the Collectibles web site, as well as the front page of The Cookie Jar Net for updated information.

A few new jars are being offered by Disney Direct -- a scary Jack jar and a new Miss Piggy & Kermit. Disney Auctions hasn't introduced anything new lately, but watch out! There are some terrific jars coming out, including a Three Little Pigs, Lady & Tramp, Roger, Jessica & Benny and Thumper are just a few of the ones I know about!

So far this year seems to be a little quiet for Halloween jars, a Darth Vader jar has been spotted at Target by Nancy A., a pumpkin w/black cat candy jar is on the Harry & David web site and an interesting clock-looking jar was found at Foleys Department store.
