The Cookie Jar Digest

Crumbs from my jar . . .

Lately I've developed even more of an interest in hand-crafted or artist jars. So for Christmas this year I'm not buying any of the traditional jars I normally look for. This year, so far, it's a set of Betsy jars, Sock Monkey, possibly a Wisecarver jar and had a Little Red Riding Hood repainted to reflect the Christmas season. The Little Red Riding Hood was an original mold that was in poor condition -- paintwise, so I had it made into a Christmas jar. NO, it will not be confused with a rare one of a kind Poinsettia jar, etc.

What have you found holiday-wise this season? What's your all time favorite holiday jar? I think my favorite Santas have to be the William Joyce Santa Calls trio of jars I have. I didn't even know the last one existed until I read it on a list. I know someone who really wants mine, sorry not selling it. But if you have the third issue, let me know and I'll pass your name along.

~WORLD'S BIGGEST OREO (cake)~
It's not advertised as an Oreo cake pan, but there's no doubt what it is. I love this cake pan and yes, I've ordered it. I'll be trying their cake mix at our Cookie Party next week. Loads of cookies and even more cookie jars are on tap!

Harry and David's holiday jar for 2009 is a Ginger boy jar complete with a red heart for his nose and an embellished holiday vest.

~SULLIVAN SNOWMAN JAR~
If I was going to buy a Snowman jar this year -- it would be this one from Fitz and Floyd. It's not the typical snowman, he is a snowman with attitude! Whoops, I see it's not available right now. Check it out anyway, he's worth waiting for.

Lots of sales going on the Disney web site, currently there are five jars shown. Only one is a holiday jar - Mickey and Friends w/Christmas tree. The jars are on sale, as well as Disney having a site-wide sale.

~SOCK MONKEY CANDY JAR~
Candy jar, cookie jar -- what's the difference? Just the size as far as I'm concerned and when I saw this little guy at Cracker Barrel, there was no way I was leaving without him.
