The Cookie Jar Digest

December 2009

Crumbs from my jar . . .

Just a quick note about something I've been thinking about for a couple of weeks when I wanted a few mailing addresses and today a message on Facebook spurred me into action.

Often I'll get a note from an "old timers" in the cookie jar world that ask if someone is still around, if "they" are still selling/collecting/making/buying cookie jars, etc. It's not unusual to also get a note from someone relatively new to the hobby, wanting to know if there is away to get in touch with "whoever" I'll usually pass along an email address, etc if I have it. But I'll be honest -- I don't know who goes with a lot of my email list. Yeah, barbcrews@gmail.com is pretty self-explanatory, but not all of them are. Like an address like anskysue or jarkbark ??

So I thought I would make a list of those WHO WANT to participate of emails/names/locations and make it available to others who participate. Personally I would like some snail mail addresses to send a card to, etc, but I know some are uncomfortable with that.

Bottom line: If you would like a way to get in touch with others that collect jars, send me your name and town or state. I'll put it on a list along with your email contact. If you have a special note to add, e.g. about wanting to sell or what you collect or are looking for, I will add a SHORT sentence.

This list will not go to anyone who does not participate. For example, if you don't want your email/name to go on the list, you won't get a copy.

If you're up for it, send me the info and I'll start working on it.

List info should include:
Name:
Email:
State or City:

Optionals could be:
Facebook:
Twitter:
Personal note about collection - e.g. selling, buying, looking for etc.

Not sure if this will be a hit or miss, but let's give it a try.
