Volume XIV #8
November 2010
Crumbs from my jar . . .
Last month I mentioned the Seman/Eggert auction on November 14th. I was mistaken! Yes, I was wrong. Lots more than just a few jars are offered for sale, be sure to read about below.
Because of newsletter problems, I wasn't able to get all the contest information ready for this issue. Watch for an issue later in the week with news about a fun Cookie Jar contest. Hint: you will have to participate a little to win, but it will be worth it.

NOVEMBER AUCTION
When I checked the Bellhorn link last month, there really were only a few jars shown. BUT the website has been updated with loads of amazing pottery and lots of great jars. Think McCoy Squirrel, Chairman of the Board, Blue Train w/Smoke and it goes on and on. There are other companies represented too, including some great Don Winton, Wisecarver, and Brush.

ANIMALS & COMPANY ?
After a question about an Animals & Company cookie jar, I did a little more research and was surprised to find they made three different cookie jars. There was the Man w/chicken on Head, Woman w/Cat Shawl and a realistic Goat Head. Does anyone have the Goat Head Jar? I would really like to know more about it, possibly a picture. Let me know if you are familiar with this piece.

WALLY AMOS JAR
Nancy A. got her Amos jar on Friday and gave it a big thumbs up. She said she really liked it. It's a little smaller than expected, but it was a winner!

FACEBOOK LINKS
I know a lot of you are on Facebook and in fact follow me. Which is probably boring most of the time! I
am jumping on the bandwagon along with others and have created two pages for Cookie Jar Collectors. One
will be for news, links, happenings, etc.
You can also post jars you might have for sale here,
as long as it is not
overdone. It's all a test right now
to see how it works out.
All you have to do is "like" me and it will show up automatically on your Facebook Feed.
The Cookie Jar Net on Facebook
The second Facebook page is for matching jar lids and bases. You can post your wants, needs and any other jars you might be looking for.
There are already two listings on the board for lids or jars. No sales on this page!

HOLIDAY JAR ROUND-UP
It's been an interesting season for cookie jars. I'm a little surprised at how many I found in different stores online, but I was also surprised at how few
Santa or Snowman jars there were. Very few!
The one exception is the beautiful 25th Anniversary Radko Santa, it's stunning and probably will find it's way into my collection. The only drawback is the $269. retail price. Hoping to find it discounted a bit before buying it.
