Hot Texas Nuts

For Spicy Food Lovers!

20 dried red chile peppers (1" long)
4 garlic cloves chopped
2 TBLs olive oil
|
2 - 3 lbs Spanish Peanuts
1 tsp coarse salt
1 - 3 tsp chili powder
|

Heat chili peppers, garlic and oil in a large heavy pan for one or two minutes.
Stir constantly so peppers do not scorch!
Add peanuts and stir well.
Cook over medium heat for about five minutes until peanuts brown- stirring constantly!
Remove from heat
Sprinkle with salt and chili powder.
Store in covered container for at least 48 hours before serving. Remove
chili peppers before serving, but keep the peppers in the storage container.
